A
well designed site draws people. Whether you want to promote yourself or sell
a product, you need traffic to your site and that is where GW Marketing excels. We
have been doing this for years and have learned the right things to do and most
importantly the things NOT to do. This is what I call "Trial and Terror".
Most Web design companies stop after the design process is through, we go all
the way to the end. We understand to draw traffic takes continual submitting to
search engines and analyzing of your position with those search engines. GW Marketing
is committed to making sure your site not only looks great but has the traffic
to show it. Below are descriptions of different parts of the design process.
Graphic
Design:
Graphic design is much more complicated than just making a few pictures and putting
them into your web page. Graphics have a huge impact on your site. It is important
to understand not only how to create them but also how they affect the loading
of the web page and the look. Large graphics might look good but too many or too
large of graphics makes the page load very slow and most people will go somewhere
else before they load completely.
Site
Design & Layout:
This is probably the most important part of the design process. Making a complete
site uniform and easy to navigate should be a priority. Putting all the important
context of the site in the proper places so the viewers attention can be held
long enough to accomplish what you are trying to do.
Flash
Design:
This is one of the newest and most advanced technology on the net. Most browsers
are capable of flash now and the animation capabilities in almost unlimited. This
can give your site the perfect animation and user interaction and, if done properly,
will long be remembered after they leave your site.
CGI
Programming:
Perl scripts give your site the ability to collect information, manipulate it,
and then send it to where ever you want. Scripts also give some degree of user
interaction and site automation so the content can be continually changed without
much work from the author.
Marketing:
This is the most important part of the design process and usually the one that
is left up to the owner to do. Submitting your site to a search engine is not
good enough today. To get the best position you have to constantly work at it.
